Beyond the page.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me traveling with my family (usually somewhere Disney related), running long distances, watching movies, or cheering on Team USA in the Olympics and Paralympics. (I am SO stoked for LA2028...)

My wife Christa is a travel agent for Disney destinations and custom international vacations. We homeschool our two boys so that we can spend more time together as a family and have more freedom to travel when we want.

A Texas native, I live in DFW, though our family plans to move to Orlando, FL in 2027.

Storytelling saved my life.

That's no exaggeration. In 2016, I lost almost everything over a foolish financial decision. My long-term struggles with depression, anxiety, and su*cidal ideation brought me within seconds of literally driving off a cliff to end everything.

Storytelling kept me on the road. A voice within me said I still had new chapters to write in my life. And I'm so grateful I listened.

Almost exactly two years later, I was hired to write a movie after winning a screenwriting competition. By 2023, I built a six-figure writing business as a ghostwriter, book coach, and developmental editor.

2023 was also the year I rekindled my love for fiction. In late 2024, I won a query contest. In 2025, I was a finalist for the Andy Award, the only publishing award given for ghostwriting and book coaching.

So in 2025, I returned to my dreams of being traditionally published, specifically for MG and YA fiction.
